Manchester United's interest in midfielder Carlos Baleba could be rekindled.
Sport.Biz reports that insider Pete O'Rourke has written that the "Red Devils" still have the Cameroonian footballer on their radar.
Manchester United were also interested in Baleba's transfer last summer. However, the fact that English Premier League representative "Brighton" demanded more than £100 million (228 million AZN) for the player and the midfielder's inability to show his previous level last season led to the club's withdrawal.
According to Pete O'Rourke, if "Brighton" lowers its demand, Manchester United could strengthen its interest in Baleba's transfer.
The source claims that "Brighton" has reduced the player's price from £100 million to £70 million. However, Manchester United does not want to pay this amount and is ready to allocate around £50 million for the transfer.
Manchester United plans to add at least two new midfielders to their squad during the summer transfer window. The departure of Casemiro and the long-term injury of Manuel Ugarte have reduced the team's options in this position.
