Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modrić commented on the defeat to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final. Sport24.az, citing Marca, reports that the Croatian footballer said they were disappointed with the loss:
"It's not pleasant when your opponent disappoints you 9 times in two games. I believe we will make up for it. I didn't expect us to play such a game. I feel sorry for our fans and ourselves. Now the main thing is to recover and continue on our way. There are many games ahead and I believe we will still make our fans happy. Losing in the final... If we lost, let it be in this final. There is victory and defeat in football. This time we were disappointed. Barcelona should be congratulated on a well-deserved victory. They were really strong."
It should be noted that yesterday's Super Cup match ended with a 5:2 victory for the Catalan team. With this, Barcelona raised the Super Cup above their heads for the 15th time.
