Lionel Messi, the star and captain of the Argentina national team, has given his jersey to Italian football legend Roberto Baggio.
Idman.Biz reports that the meeting took place after Argentina advanced to the semifinals of the 2026 World Cup. Messi presented his number 10 jersey, which he wore in the match against Switzerland, to the former player.
Bacco shared a photo with the 39-year-old Argentine footballer on social media, holding Messi's jersey in his hand.
"Leo, thank you for the valuable gift and attention. I love you, my friend," Bacco wrote in his post.
Note that Bacco had previously given Messi a signed number 10 jersey of the Italian national team, which he wore during the 1994 World Cup, in June 2025.
Argentina defeated Switzerland 3-1 in extra time in the 1/4 finals of the 2026 World Cup. Messi provided an assist for the first goal scored by Alexis Mac Allister. This was his 10th productive pass in World Cup history, a record.
The Argentine national team, led by Lionel Scaloni, will face England for a place in the final.
