Lionel Messi has spoken again about a possible participation in the 2030 World Cup.
Sport.Biz reports that over the past year, the striker has been regularly asked about his plans to end his career and whether he plans to play in major tournaments for the national team after the 2026 World Cup.
Approximately a week ago, when talking about the 2030 World Cup, Messi gave a definite answer: "No, no, definitely not".
However, the Argentine is having a great tournament so far, scoring five goals in just two matches. After that, on June 24, a Telefe journalist asked Messi again about his future in the national team.
This time, the 43-year-old world champion did not completely rule out participating in the 2030 World Cup.
"To be honest, I'm not playing thinking about that. Let's see what happens," Messi said.
