Kəpəz's new signing, Rati Ardazishvili, gave an interview to AZERTAC. Sport24.az presents the interview of the Georgian footballer.
- How did your transfer to Kəpəz happen?
- The club made a great effort to see me in the squad from the first day. Of course, this made me very happy. I thank the management for their trust. I am happy to be here.
- What are your impressions of our country?
- I have communicated with Azerbaijanis before. I knew that your people are very attentive and hospitable. After coming here, I became even more convinced of this.
- Many Georgian footballers have played in Azerbaijan. You can also find your compatriots here now. Have you received information about our country from them?
- Frankly, I didn't have enough information about the Azerbaijan championship. Therefore, I got information about the league from some football players. They only said nice things.
- Kəpəz is in 9th place among 10 teams in the tournament table with 11 points. Does this bother you?
- It doesn't matter to me what position the team is in. I am here because I believe that we will achieve success. The position we are in is temporary. I always focus on winning. It doesn't matter much whether the club I play for is in first or ninth place.
- You have signed a contract for 6 months + 1 year. If the team stays in the elite, the contract will most likely be extended automatically. Do you think you will be able to get Kəpəz out of this difficult situation?
- We are a team and we have to do everything together. All the players in the squad are important. I believe that I will help the team as much as I can. I have focused all my thoughts on my work.
- Do you believe that Kəpəz will stay in the Premier League?
- Of course. I can say with certainty that this team will stay in the Premier League.
- You played in the Georgian national team's lower age groups. What caused you not to be able to rise to the main team?
- During the period I played in the national teams, I always took training seriously. I didn't miss a single training session. But I didn't make some right decisions. Everything we encounter is experience. I would like to thank those who supported me. I received very nice messages from Kəpəz fans. I didn't know that the city of Ganja loved football so much. It was a happy moment for me. I believe that everything will be fine.
