"It was our first game after the break. We were physically loaded because we were at the training camp. This was sometimes felt during the game. Nevertheless, our game was not bad." These words were said by "Sumgayit" football player Kamran Guliyev in his statement to Sport24.az while talking about the test match they played against "Araz Nakhchivan".
He evaluated "Sumgayit"'s performance in the first round as follows:
"We didn't start the season well, we were going down the ranks. From round to round, we found our game and climbed to the top. We have the strength to be even higher. We are working for this."
Guliyev revealed his expectations from the second round:
"We need to increase our point reserve. We are focused on the game with "Sabail", which will be held on January 18. We want to start the year with a victory."
It should be noted that "Sumgayit" went to the winter break in 6th place with 20 points.
