Barcelona president Joan Laporta has responded to Real Madrid boss Florentino Perez's criticism of the "Blaugrana" over the "Negreira case."
Idman.Biz reports that in 2023, "Blaugrana" was accused of corruption in connection with payments to Jose Maria Negreira, former vice-president of the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA), who worked at the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). Barcelona was accused of making these payments between 2001 and 2018.
"I think these statements show that "Real Madrid" suffers from an obsession with "Barcelona." Apparently, they have to talk about "Barcelona" to justify something. They interfere in every aspect of the Negreira trial and drag it out like chewing gum, because they know there is nothing there, but this is a way to justify something that is not true.
"Barcelona has never bribed judges. Judges generally do not favor Barcelona; on the contrary, they have favored Madrid all their lives. Let's not go too far, Madrid scored two goals on the last match day that, in my opinion, were invalid. In one case, Bellingham touched the ball with his hand, and in the other, Vinicius broke Inyaki Penya's nose. These two goals should not have been counted and Barcelona should be at the top of La Liga right now," The Touchline quotes Laporta as saying.
