Zahra Ghanbari, captain and top scorer of the Iranian women's national football team, has decided to return to her country, refusing the offer to stay in Australia and seek asylum.
Idman.Biz reports that Ghanbari, who was among the seven members of the delegation who remained in Australia after the Asian Cup, changed her mind at the last moment and preferred to return to her country. She has already left for Malaysia, from where she will return to Iran with her other teammates.

According to reports, five of the seven people who applied for asylum in Australia in recent days have already withdrawn their decision:
- Mohaddese Zulfi
- Muna Hamudi
- Zahra Sarbali
- Zahra Mushkekar (member of the technical staff)
- Zahra Ghanbari
It should be reminded that the desire of some members of the Iranian national team, which participated in the Asian Cup, to stay in Australia after the tournament caused a wide resonance in the international media. However, it is reported that, thanks to negotiations and the personal decision of the athletes, most of the members, including the captain, have returned to the country to wear the national uniform again.
