England striker Harry Kane has been named the man of the match in the 2026 World Cup round of 16 game against the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Kane scored in the 75th and 86th minutes. The Democratic Republic of Congo opened the scoring in the seventh minute thanks to Brayan Sipeng.
Kane has now scored five goals in the current World Cup, tying him with Norwegian Erling Haaland in the scorers' standings. Argentine Lionel Messi and Frenchman Kylian Mbappe lead with six goals each.
England will play Mexico in the round of 16, while the Democratic Republic of Congo has ended its participation in the tournament.
