Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola shared his thoughts on his team's attacking potential and Erling Haaland's form after a 1-1 draw with West Ham in the last round of the Premier League. According to Sport24.az, the specialist sees the reason for Haaland's inability to score not only in the football player, but also in the relationships within the team.
"The lack of goals hurts us, but it's not just about that. At the beginning of the season, Phil Foden was also unstoppable. It's easy to look for the reason in one or two players, but the main thing is the relationships on the field, harmony and form," said Pep.
Guardiola said he believes the Norwegian striker will return soon:
"Erling knows this. We need his goals, but for this we need to create more dangerous situations. We need to play like we did in the first 20 minutes of the second half. Although we had control in the first half, there was a lack of sharpness in front of the opponent's goal. Haaland will soon score again."
It should be noted that after this draw, the "citizens" are nine points behind leader Arsenal, although they have one game in hand. In the current season, Haaland's statistics have fallen somewhat compared to previous years - the star striker has scored only three goals in the last 12 Premier League matches.
