The French Football Federation (FFF) has announced that the software used by clubs for administrative management has been subjected to a large-scale hacker attack.
According to İdman.Biz, data of registered players from several clubs has been stolen. The names of the players whose data was stolen have not been disclosed.
"As a result of the cyberattack, hackers obtained the following information: name, surname, gender, date and place of birth, nationality, postal address, email address, telephone number and license number."
The FFF is committed to protecting all data entrusted to it and, like many other organizations, is constantly strengthening and adapting its security measures to eliminate the increasing number and new forms of cyberattacks," the FFF said in a statement.
The FFF has previously been subjected to data theft. In March 2024, athletes' personal information, including last name, first name, postal address, email address, age, and club affiliation, was stolen. The information was put up for sale online.
