"I was ready to work in Azerbaijan. Unfortunately, it was not accepted," said Theofanis Gekas, a former Greek national team footballer, in an interview with Sport24.az.
Gekas emphasized that he had the opportunity to work in our country last summer, but the negotiations ended unsuccessfully:
"Unfortunately, I could not agree with any of your clubs. If I worked for a team, I would bring an assistant from Greece. I really wanted to work in your country. The issue of "Imishli" was not accepted".
He also noted that he is still open to offers.
Note that Theofanis Gekas played 78 games with 24 goals for the Greek national team.
