"The France-Iraq World Cup match was suspended due to unfavorable weather conditions in Philadelphia, including the risk of lightning strikes near the stadium. A 30-minute break has been announced, but the situation is still being monitored for a possible further delay.
FIFA will follow the security protocols established by local authorities and the match will continue as soon as it is safe to do so. Everyone's safety is FIFA's top priority. We thank all fans for their understanding and cooperation," FIFA's website states.
