Atletico Madrid's 31-year-old defender Clément Lenglet has joined Benfica.

According to the source, the Lisbon club has rented Lenglet from Atletico Madrid for the 2026/2027 season with a compulsory purchase option. Lenglet's contract with Benfica will be automatically extended for two more seasons, until the summer of 2029.
Last season, Lenglet played 34 games and made one assist. According to the Transfermarkt portal, his market value is 4 million euros.
The French footballer previously played for Barcelona, Nancy, Sevilla, Tottenham and Aston Villa.
