UEFA has fined English football club Chelsea €20 million for violating financial regulations, with an additional €60 million as a conditional fine.
Lent.az reports that this was announced on UEFA's official website.
It was noted that Chelsea has agreed to a four-year monitoring period. Aston Villa has also been sanctioned. The Birmingham club will have to pay €5 million. Aston Villa has also been conditionally fined an additional €15 million.
According to Transfermarkt, Chelsea spent €281.9 million on acquiring new players last season. At the end of the 2024/2025 season, the team finished fourth in the Premier League.
