Brazil national team coach Carlo Ancelotti has assessed the likelihood of Neymar playing against Japan in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup. According to Sport24.az, the Italian expert spoke about this at a press conference:
"Neymar is gradually getting into shape. Unfortunately, he was unable to train with us for the entire period. Clearly, he can play more than 15 minutes. Much depends on the context of the game with Japan".
Note that 34-year-old Neymar played only 14 minutes in the group stage match against Scotland (3-0) at the World Cup. The Brazil-Japan match will take place today.
