"We had negotiations and meetings with AFFA Secretary General Jahangir Farajullayev regarding the creation of a scouting unit. He offered me to work as the head of the department to be created. I have been involved in this work for years. I also work in clubs. Therefore, it is not a foreign job for me. In this regard, I welcomed the offer positively."
Idman.biz reports that these words were said by Bakhtiyar Musayev, the former midfielder of the Azerbaijani national team, a well-known football player, in his statement to AZERTAC about his appointment as the head of the Scouting Department of the Technical Department of AFFA.
Expressing gratitude to the AFFA leadership for their trust, B. Musayev spoke about his work plans: "Our work plan is to help in the selection of players for all national teams. We will give our advice. We do not want good players to be left out of sight."
He also said that a scouting team will be created: "We have not yet specified who will be in the team. Of course, we will need a lot of help in this way. Because we have taken on a big burden. After considering it, we will determine the team and work on it."
It should be noted that Bakhtiyar Musayev played 20 games in the Azerbaijani national team in 1997-2006.
