The Azerbaijan national team, consisting of football players under 21, played its first match in the qualifying round of the European Championship.
"Report" reports that the team, coached by Aykhan Abbasov, faced Portugal in Group B.
The match, which took place at the "Estadio Cidade" stadium in Barcelos, ended with the opponent's victory - 5:0.
It should be noted that U-21 will play its next match against the Bulgarian national team in Baku on September 9. This meeting will start at 18:00.
