Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have jointly submitted their bid to host the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2027. Sport24.az reports, citing the press service of the organization, that it has begun evaluating bids to host the 2027 World Cup among national teams of football players under 20 years old.
Taking into account the active reforms carried out in the field of football, the created infrastructure, and the increasing international influence of Turkic-speaking countries, the football federations of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have joined forces and submitted a joint bid to host the tournament and expressed their full readiness to organize this prestigious competition at a high level.
Today, Azerbaijan, together with Uzbekistan, is fully prepared to host such a prestigious competition. A number of stadiums in our country meet international standards. In recent years, Azerbaijan has gained significant experience in organizing a number of major tournaments. This includes some matches of EURO-2020, the UEFA Europa League final match, the European U-17 Championship, and the U-17 Women's World Cup. FIFA and UEFA officials have highly appreciated the prestigious tournaments held in Baku.
