Ghana striker Antoine Semenyo says his team needs to put more pressure on referees.
Sport.Biz reports that in the second round match of the 2026 World Cup against England, referee Said Martines did not award a penalty after England defender Ezri Konsa knocked down Ghana striker Prince Adunu.
"As players, we need to put pressure on the referee and express our dissatisfaction. I think as a team we need to be more aggressive against the referees, whether it's the pressure from the players on the field or the coaches' pressure on the fourth referee," - quotes Semenyo as saying "Mundo Deportivo".
The 2026 World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19. Ghana will face Croatia in the final match of the group stage on June 28.
