Alejandro Grimaldo has joined Atletico Madrid from Bayer.

According to the source, the parties have reached a verbal agreement on the transfer. Bayer will receive around 20 million euros, plus bonuses.
The 30-year-old Spanish footballer's contract with the German club expires in the summer of 2027. Transfermarkt estimates his value at 20 million euros.
In the 2025/26 season, Grimaldo played 46 games, scored 14 goals and made 12 assists. The Barcelona academy graduate previously played for Benfica.
