The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has announced the symbolic team of 2024, consisting of African football players. Sport24.az reports with reference to IFFHS that the "11" includes players from national teams that are part of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The symbolic team preferred a 4-2-4 tactical scheme.
Goalkeeper: Andre Onana (Cameroon)
Defenders: Ashraf Hakimi (Morocco), Edmond Tapsoba (Burkina Faso), Usman Diomande (Ivory Coast), Rayan Ait-Nouri (Algeria)
Midfielders: Mohammed Kudus (Ghana), Brahim Diaz (Morocco)
Forwards: Mohamed Salah (Egypt), Ademola Lookman, Victor Osimhen (both Nigeria), Serhou Guirassy (Guinea)
